Industrial Applications
Polyvinyl Acetate (PVAc)
Primary monomer for polyvinyl acetate emulsions used in wood glues, paper coatings, and textile sizing.
Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVOH)
Feedstock for polyvinyl alcohol via hydrolysis of PVAc. PVOH is used in films, adhesives, and textile warp sizing.
EVA Copolymers
Comonomer with ethylene to produce ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymers for hot-melt adhesives, foam, and flexible packaging.
Vinyl Acetate-Acrylic Copolymers
Comonomer in vinyl-acrylic latex emulsions for interior and exterior architectural coatings.
Polyvinyl Butyral (PVB)
Intermediate in PVB production via PVAc hydrolysis and acetalization. PVB is used in safety glass interlayers.
Adhesives & Sealants
Reactive monomer in pressure-sensitive adhesives, construction adhesives, and caulks.
Safety & Regulatory
Highly Flammable — Polymerization Hazard
VAM has a flash point of −8 °C and can polymerize if inhibitor is depleted. Store away from heat, light, and oxidizers. SDS available upon request.
