Coatings & Lacquers
High-boiling alcohol solvent for nitrocellulose lacquers, polyurethane coatings, and baking enamels. Improves flow, reduces blushing, and enhances gloss.
Plasticizers
Feedstock for dibutyl phthalate (DBP), dibutyl sebacate, and other plasticizers used in PVC, rubber, and adhesive formulations.
Chemical Synthesis
Intermediate for butyl acrylate, butyl methacrylate, glycol ethers, and amino resins. Key building block in specialty chemical manufacturing.
Hydraulic Fluids
Component in hydraulic brake fluids and industrial hydraulic fluids where high boiling point and hygroscopic properties are beneficial.
Extraction & Separation
Selective extractant for antibiotics, hormones, and other pharmaceuticals from aqueous fermentation broths.
Cleaning & Degreasing
Effective degreaser for metal parts and industrial equipment. Slow evaporation allows extended contact time for heavy soil removal.
