Industrial Applications

Rubber Manufacturing

Carrier solvent in rubber compounding, rubber cement, and neoprene-based adhesives. VM&P naphtha is the standard grade for rubber industry applications.

Fuel & Energy

Light naphtha is a key feedstock for catalytic reforming to produce high-octane gasoline components and aromatics (benzene, toluene, xylene).

Cleaning & Degreasing

Effective degreaser for metal parts, printing equipment, and industrial machinery. Faster evaporation than mineral spirits for high-throughput operations.

Coatings & Varnishes

Diluent and thinner for oil-based coatings, lacquers, and varnishes where faster evaporation than mineral spirits is required.

Adhesives

Solvent in contact cements, rubber-based adhesives, and construction adhesives for flooring, roofing, and automotive applications.

Chemical Feedstock

Steam cracking of naphtha produces ethylene, propylene, and butadiene — the primary building blocks of the petrochemical industry.
