Guar Gum is primarily the ground endosperm of guar beans. The guar seeds are dehusked, milled and screened to obtain guar gum. It is typically produced as a free-flowing, off-white powder.
Guar Gum is used in the textile industry for sizing, finishing and printing. In the paper industry, explosives, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, hyhdraul fracturing, mining, hydroseeding, fire retardant, and nanoparticle industries. Guar Gum is used in the food industry primarily in gluten-free products. In dairy products it serves as a thickener and in condiments it improves the stability.
Interesting Fact - Guar Gum can be used as a bulk forming laxative and bowel ailments, such as diverticulosis, Crohn's disease, colitis and irritable bowel syndrome.
